For this month’s competition, a lucky reader can win an A4 size PET PORTRAIT* from Pawtraits by Maria.
An artist originally from Cornwall, Maria creates pet portrait and wildlife art in pastels. Growing up in Cornwall, surrounded by the sea and countryside, Maria was drawn to art at a young age, inspired by nature and her natural surroundings. Maria is a self taught artist and found a love for pastels 8 years ago.
Each portrait takes between 20-30hrs to complete and Maria strives for realism with each portrait, capturing the animal's character.
Now living in Burton-on-Trent, her love of creating continues to grow, expressing her creativity in different avenues, including furniture up-cycling as well as her pastel portraits.
